. . .

The car ride is amazing. The sights. The billboards. The cars. The people in cars. The lights. Watching people, especially girls, race by as profiles. People speeding up, slowing down. Falling in love with the person in the car next to yours. I guess everyone does this; how could they not? To be able to see someone for that second. To be able to decide whether this person is attractive to you. Based solely on their profile in that instant. Do girls do this? I know boys do. Well, I do. Every time I get in the car. I think I can meet my soulmate while driving down the interstate. Never mind the logistics of actually getting her attention, stopping her, talking to her, loving her. That doesn’t matter. What matters is that it could happen. In my mind.

This is an unfortunate side effect of hearing a story about Stephanie.
